Guns can be bought in SUPERMARKETS across America. In many corners of the USA, buying a gun is as straightforward as picking up a pint of milk or a loaf of bread.
Most towns boast a specialist gun store, where customers can stock up on rifles, ammunition and even bulletproof vests.
But, astonishingly, deadly rifles - like those owned by Dallas killer Micah Johnson - lie yards from groceries and children’s toys in large supermarkets like Walmart.
Weak gun laws in many states mean shoppers can purchase rifles and ammunition with relative ease.
Walmart , the parent company of UK supermarket Asda, sells semi-automatic assault rifles which start at the equivalent of around £30. A fully automatic rifle costs around £37.
