Washington DC Shootings rising again with 6 shootings leaving 2 DEAD Friday.

Shooting at 6th Place N.E.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- There were six confirmed shootings in the District late Friday night into early Saturday. Two men were shot and killed in one of those shootings, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

10:27 p.m. Friday

Police say one male was shot in the 1600 block of R Street SE. No lookout information was provided.

11:20 p.m. Friday

A man was shot in 4400 block of Puerto Rico Avenue and 6th Place NE, police said. No lookout information was provided.

11:30 p.m. Friday

Police say a man was shot at South Capitol St. SE & Atlantic Street SE. There was also no lookout information provided for this shooting.

11:45 p.m. Friday

Three men were shot at 49th St and B Street SE. Police say two of the men died as a result of their injuries. The first victim was found unresponsive and unconscious. He was pronounced dead at at scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital where police say he later died. The third victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The victims have been identified as Omoni Johnson, 26, of Northeast, D.C. and Shaheed James, 21, of Clinton, Md., police said.

2:45 a.m. Saturday

Police say one man was shot in the 2400 block 18th Street NW.
