The incident occurred in the East New York neighborhood around 2:20 a.m. EDT, police said. The victims were taken to area hospitals and at least two were in serious condition, media reported. At least one victim was in critical condition and clinging to life early Sunday, law enforcement sources told The Post. These kind of shootings can be classified as a potential massacre if all 13 died. These guns got to get off the streets.

The gunfire erupted at a building at the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Crescent Street around 2:30 a.m. The carnage spilled out into the streets; one of the victims was found a block away at Loring Avenue and Crescent.

At least four of the victims were at Brookdale Hospital, two of them with injuries minor enough that they were able to walk into the emergency entrance, arriving as two others were rushed inside on gurneys by paramedics.

“The energy inside the party was good,” said one party-goer. “I heard the shots, but it was not from inside, something was going on outside.”

“I helped a woman who was shot in the leg,” he added.

Faylo Alston, a resident at the nearby Pink Houses, said he heard more than five shots.

“I was on my way to the store,” he said. “Everyone laid down on the ground, and when the shooting stopped, everyone got up and ran. Everyone scattered.”

Helicopters hovered over the area after the shooting. Police had shut down Crescent Street from Stanley Avenue to Pine Street.
