A drive-by shooter opened fire following Bobby Shmurda's show in Roselle, N.J., early Thursday (Aug. 28),TMZ reports. The Brooklyn rapper was not involved, nor was he in the parking lot of Club Eden nightclub, where the violence erupted.
Officers from three different police departments were called to the club after two shots were fired into the air from an unidentified car just before 2:00 a.m. Police say approximately 200 people in the parking lot became "unruly and agitated" as the scene was being cleared. No injuries were reported, and the shooting motive is unknown.
Shmurda hasn't mentioned the incident on social media. The 20-year-old, who blew up online with the single "Hot N----," has been co-signed by the likes of French Montana, Meek Mill, and others. Beyoncé even did his infamous "shmoney dance" during the On the Run tour, and he signed with Epic Records last month.
He spoke with BET.com recently about us how life has changed after the label deal. "Since signing with Epic, a lot of girls who didn't used to talked to me talk now," he said. "I'm driving in bigger cars, living in bigger houses, just doing whatever we want now. Really grinding harder."
